AdVerve - Episode 17 - PR Patois

Aka, the art of the release, pitch, whatevuh. Ad blog slash PR dude Dan Barron joins the fun as we talk about all the ways PR releases make us crazy. He also explains a lot of what goes on behind the scenes, which in turn, makes us whiny little bitches who, in turn, go on a podcast and complain about it.

I really, really enjoyed this, y'all. As a former music journalist turned PR-type person, the tale of the avant-garde gospel guitar miracle particularly resonated with me.

The podcast ended up being kind of costly, though. I made the mistake of wandering around Target listening to it on my iPhone, buying a bunch of clearance shit. But hey, I needed a new shower curtain.

One other thing: When I got home to my computer, I mistakenly searched for the "Adverse Podcast." I might have to use that.

I've done a lot of Target-wandering too. In the 'burbs it's the only way to get exercise. =P

We would not be averse to you nailing down Adverse. *laughs at own joke*

Glad you dug the show!
